So, I am sitting here at my desk trying to think of what to
write for this next article and all of these thoughts are running through my
head. Then, the light bulb went off. In a few months, I will be a graduate from
Clarion University with a degree in Rehabilitative Sciences and a concentration
in Developmental Disabilities. I will be well on my way to go out into the real
world and make a living for myself. I will not only be leaving Clarion
University, but I will become an alumnus of Tau Beta Sigma. It is a bittersweet
feeling to say the least! From the beginning of my MC process to now, I have
gained so much insight, passion, and knowledge from this sorority. I have grown
as a sister and also as a person; I have made so many friends. I took two
wonderful littles. I have stepped up and taken on two executive board
positions, Corresponding Secretary and Alumni Historian, in my last year as an
active member. After talking to alumni, they all still want to be involved with
the organization and I like that a lot because it shows how much they care for
sisterhood, service, and the love of music. As I end this journey of being an
active member, I want to be just like them. I want to follow Wava’s wise words,
“I want to still remain active in Tau Beta Sigma, until I join the great
sorority in the sky.”
